About

Our Approach

According to a recent survey, the average U.S. employee takes only half of their allotted vacation time. Unsurprisingly, they suffer from being overworked, overwhelmed and overwrought. Our organization was formed for the single purpose of providing a structured get away for men to connect with their inner physical, psychological and spiritual self. We want to provide an environment where reflection is supported and critical examination is encouraged as clients begin to seek, and eventually arrive at, not answers, but deeper questions regarding life’s PURPOSE. A major purpose of any responsible human being is to sustain a healthy physical body and a mentally alert and functional mind; all of which is a prerequisite for a desirable “Quality Of Life”. Not only in our daily existence but throughout our entire existence.

We at Concierge International take the time to plan unique activities, in unfamiliar places of quiet luxury. Places that are peaceful with an environment and experiences that will enrich each with indelible memories. Memories that will be the catalyst for continued self examination and self improvement.

Health and Travel

A number of studies have shown that taking time away from the employment environment can have significant physical and psychological health benefits."

Decreased depression

A study conducted by Marshfield Clinic with a population of 1,500 determined that those who vacationed less often than once every two years were more likely to suffer from depression and increased stress than those who took vacations at least twice a year. Similarly, the University of Pittsburgh's Mind Body Center surveyed some 1,400 individuals and found that leisure activities – including taking vacations – contributed to higher positive emotional levels and less depression. The benefits of vacationing also extended to lower blood pressure and smaller waistlines.

Less stress

A study released last year by the American Psychological Association concluded that vacations work to reduce stress by removing people from activities and environments that tend to be sources of stress. Similarly, a Canadian study of nearly 900 lawyers found that taking vacations helped alleviate job stress

Improved productivity

The professional services firm Ernst & Young conducted an internal study of its employees and found that, for each additional 10 hours of vacation employees took, their year-end performance ratings improved 8 percent, and frequent vacationers also were significantly less likely to leave the firm.

Cardiovascular Disease

The landmark Framingham Heart Study the largest and longest-running study of cardiovascular disease – revealed that men who didn't take a vacation for several years were 30 percent more likely to have heart attacks compared to men who did not take time off.
